Pediatric Dentistry of Brandon Florida Sponsors School Visits by Miss Jeanne and Her Happy Teeth Puppets.
Brandon, Florida (PRWEB) August 18, 2014 -- For the last 30 years, Jeanne Stewart, known by children throughout Hillsborough County as “Miss Jeanne,” has traveled the county educating children of all ages about the importance of good oral hygiene. Each year she visits more than 300 preschools, elementary schools, parks, recreation centers, and home day care operations to spread the good news about proper flossing and brushing techniques.
A commercial-free oral health education program sponsored by Pediatric Dentistry of Brandon features Jeanne Stewart, Dental Health Educator.
Her program is a community service project of Pediatric Dentistry of Brandon who employs her to provide this free service. “We are dedicated to improving the dental health of children in the community,” said Dr. Jorges Torres, Pediatric Dental Specialist and owner of Pediatric Dentistry of Brandon. “Jeanne Stewart is an exceptional educator, and the community is very fortunate to have her. She has developed several different presentations designed to cater to various age groups, from two years of age to preteens. Each program is designed to educate, motivate and entertain.”
“The programs are designed to be of the appropriate length for the age of the children I am with. Ten minutes with my educational puppets provides even the youngest children with information they remember and tell their parents about,” said Stewart. “Children are greatly entertained by the puppets and longer programs are designed for each grade level. I look forward to my visits, year to year as they grow.”
