San Francisco and Napa Valley applications now accepted for awards in regional excellence in wine tourism

The San Francisco | Napa Valley region of the Great Wine Capitals Global Network announces its call for entries for the fifteenth annual Best Of Wine Tourism awards, which recognize innovation and excellence in wine and wine-related tourism. Submissions are being accepted between July 16 and August 29 at Each year, the Best Of award entries are reviewed by a jury of Napa Valley and San Francisco wine industry tastemakers. This year’s jury includes author and sommelier Courtney Cochran, social media expert and chief social officer of 3Rock Andrew Healy, editor-in-chief of Mutineer magazine Brian Kropf, president and CEO of Arts Council Napa Valley Olivia Everett and executive producer and host of Dining Around Joel Riddell.

There are seven categories in which Best Of awards are presented regionally: accommodations, architecture and landscape, art and culture, innovative wine tourism experiences, sustainable wine tourism practices, wine tourism services and wine tourism restaurants. The 2015 regional winners are recognized at an awards ceremony held this October in Napa Valley, after which the regional honorees are entered to earn one of nine international distinctions, awarded this November in Mendoza, Argentina.
