Sam Decker Joins Clarify’s Board of Directors
Austin, TX (PRWEB) August 18, 2014 -- Sam Decker, founder and former CEO of Mass Relevance and former CMO of Bazaarvoice, joined the technical co-founders, Paul Murphy and Ivo Rothschild, on Clarify’s Board of Directors. Clarify is launching a developer platform in the fast-growing audio and video space. The Clarify platform extracts data and metadata from media files for discovery and analytics. Its platform, currently in private beta, allows developers to embed media search into their applications with a few lines of code.
According to Paul Murphy, CEO of Clarify, “Sam’s entrepreneurial experience, his go to market experience, and his understanding of how to scale companies make him an ideal Board member. As former founding Chief Marketing Officer at Bazaarvoice, Sam helped build the core platform of Bazaarvoice products and led the company's marketing efforts, resulting in them becoming the category leader in social commerce.
Before joining Bazaarvoice, Sam spent seven years in leadership at Dell, Inc.
in marketing, eBusiness, CRM, and customer-centricity. From 1999-2003, he led
Dell's consumer website, building Dell.com into the largest consumer eCommerce
site at $3.5B in annual sales.
Most recently Sam was founder and CEO of Mass Relevance, the leading social integration platform, which grew to 150 people and 300 clients in 3.5 years. Mass Relevance merged with Spredfast in April, 2014.
Sam is an active investor, board member, speaker and writer. Sam has authored two books on word-of-mouth and guerrilla marketing. In addition to Clarify, Sam serves on the boards of Clearhead, Written, Springbox Labs, New Era Portfolio and Austin Film Society.
