Tim Leeper Roofing’s Help Cycle Inaugural Golf Tournament Benefits 4 Local Charities
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) August 19, 2014 -- Help Cycle, a charity organization founded by Tim Leeper Roofing, held its first Golf Tournament on August 4th, 2014 at Five Oaks golf course in Lebanon, TN. The tournament aimed at raising money for 4 local Middle Tennessee charities, was a sold out success, and Tim couldn’t be more pleased.
“A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event a success in the first of what we hope will be many years of giving back,” says Tim Leeper. “We couldn’t have done it without the sponsors, players, volunteers, donors, and of course the beautiful facility itself.”
Money raised will benefit four local charities. Waves, an organization enabling individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to progress toward their full potential, will be on the receiving end of the funds. As will Sherry’s Run. They are a foundation providing assistance of all kinds for patients going through cancer treatments, including assistance with rent, gas, groceries, medical premium payments and prescription co-pays.
Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home will benefit as well. This organization ministers to children and families in crisis, regardless of faith background, through residential care, counseling and other programs. Thousands of children in Tennessee suffer the pain and loneliness of a family in crisis each year. TBCH cares for approximately 200 children each year who find themselves without a place to call home.
“We are proud of our mission and are very thankful for folks like Tim Leeper who help us do what we can to provide for kids in need in our community,” says Jeff McGuiness of TBCH.
And finally, Brooks House will benefit from the event. They provide temporary housing for up to 20 women and their children in need. In addition to offering a safe place for families to stay, they offer educational services, career advancement programs, medical and dental services, mental health services, mentoring, legal and financial counseling, and more.
Building on the success of the first event, Tim is already working on next year’s event, where he hopes to raise even more money for deserving local charities.
