Three New Global Companies Sign On To Help Take Local "A Hope to Dream" Project Overseas
Jacksonville, Florida (PRWEB) August 18, 2014 -- Ashley Furniture HomeStore-Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Jaguars have gained the attention of Pepsi-Cola, Papa John’s and XBOX to help support their first ever “A Hope to Dream” Stadium Sleepover in London, England.
On August 30, 100 children and their chaperones from London will spend the night at Great Britain’s famed Wembley Stadium sleeping in beds donated by Jacksonville’s Ashley Furniture HomeStore. While at the stadium, the children will play on gaming consoles provided by XBOX. Members of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars cheerleading squad, THE ROAR, will also host a dance party for the children after they enjoy the pizza and drinks donated by Pepsi-Cola and Papa John’s Pizza. The next morning, the beds will be delivered to the homes of the children who previously did not have a bed of their own.
This first-of-its-kind experience at Wembley is an expansion of the event started last year in Jacksonville, Florida. On August 1, 2014, Ashley Furniture HomeStores-Jacksonville hosted the second annual “A Hope to Dream” Stadium Sleepover at the Jaguars home stadium, EverBank Field. 100 children who did not have beds of their own joined Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley, his wife Michaela, and Ashley Furniture HomeStore team members for a party and sleepover. The next morning, the beds were also delivered to the children’s homes.
Jacksonville Jaguars Head Coach Gus Bradley and his family are enormous supporters of the program. “The ‘A Hope to Dream’ program is such a blessing to these children. But once you see these kids with their new beds, you’re quick to realize the blessing is really ours.”
Ashley Furniture HomeStore-Jacksonville CEO and Managing Member Howard Fineman said taking “A Hope to Dream” to London is one more important step forward for the program. “Today, we live in a global community where each of us has the chance to make a difference to all of our neighbors—around our city or around the world. In this case, we are honored to have the opportunity to extend our support of the Jacksonville Jaguars as they expand their fan base overseas. In doing so, we make a life-changing difference by helping 100 children in need dream big in their very own ‘A Hope to Dream’ bed.”
Fineman added that since Ashley Furniture HomeStore is the number one selling furniture store brand in the world, in addition to the number one retailer of furniture and bedding here in the United States, expanding the “A Hope to Dream” charitable initiative outside of the United States is the next logical milestone.
The Jacksonville Jaguars and Ashley Furniture HomeStore teams leave for London August 29th to welcome the children to Wembley the next day.

The “A Hope to Dream” program began with Howard Fineman’s Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Jacksonville in 2010. Since then the program has spread across the country and has donated more than 13,000 Ashley Sleep mattress sets to children in need. Fineman, CEO and Managing Member credits the program’s success to Ashley Furniture HomeStore’s customers because a portion of the proceeds of every purchase of a mattress at a local Ashley Furniture HomeStore pays for a mattress set for a child in need. Families who need beds are nominated by friends, family and social service agencies. If you know of a child who needs a bed you can submit your nomination at any Ashley Furniture HomeStore’s showroom on the First Coast, or online at http://www.ahopetodream.com.
