C2C Resources Comments on Effects of E-Invoicing on Businesses
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 26, 2014 -- C2C Resources, a commercial debt collection agency, released a statement commenting on the benefits of e-invoicing and the possibility of a universal adoption of the practice. The company believes that e-invoicing is a powerful tool that all businesses should take advantage of, but questions the effectiveness of a mandated universal adoption for increasing a business’s cash flow.
According to a recent article published by InformationWeek titled “E-invoicing: Past Due For US Govt.” (July 29, 2014) by Christian Lanng, CEO of Tradeshift, 56 countries across the globe are taking advantage of e-invoicing with official mandates that range from federal to nationwide initiatives.
One reason for this global initiative is cited in a June 2014 study by E-Invoicing Platform, referenced in Lanng’s article, which found that $1.2 trillion dollars are owed to businesses by other businesses in the United States; with one of the leading causes being linked to the processing of paper invoices.
“We strongly agree that e-invoicing is the way of the future and businesses should be taking advantage of the cost and time saving benefits,” said Todd Tinkler, President of C2C Resources. “We do have to challenge the idea of a national mandate though. While more companies should be encouraged to take advantage of e-invoicing, we have to wonder the effectiveness, should the email get stuck in a spam folder or all together forgotten in a full email box.”
Tinkler believes that every customer should be approached differently depending on their needs; and companies should be clear and consistent with their method of invoicing. C2C Resources has released a blog post concerning the differences between e-invoicing and paper invoicing that can be found here: http://c2cresourcesblog.com/in-house-collection-procedures/e-invoicing-vs-paper-invoicing/.
