Spancrete® (spancrete.com), Waukesha, Wis., has joined AltusGroup (altusprecast.com) to market CarbonCast Enclosure Systems in the Midwest. Spancrete is the fourth precast manufacturer to join AltusGroup in the past 18 months and brings the total number of precasters in the organization to 17, an all-time high.
Spancrete will offer CarbonCast High Performance Wall Panels and CarbonCast Insulated Architectural Cladding out of its Wisconsin plant to complement its existing structural and architectural precast wall products. Both CarbonCast products use C-GRID carbon fiber grid as a shear connector to provide outstanding thermal efficiency and full composite action while maintaining the remarkable aesthetic flexibility of precast concrete.
Spancrete has been innovating in the precast industry for nearly 70 years. Designing precast products, perfecting production processes, engineering total precast systems and authoring the standards for research, design, production, installation and safety in the precast industry. Spancrete is a third-generation, family-owned, global enterprise, providing precast solutions, as well as the machinery and services that makes Spancrete precast products.
“Spancrete adds to our impressive roster of innovative and market-leading precast companies,” said John Carson, executive director of AltusGroup. “Spancrete’s experience in the Midwest will enhance the presence and acceptance of CarbonCast technology among architects, specifiers and owners. It provides building teams with another trusted source for our CarbonCast line of precast wall products.”
AltusGroup precast concrete manufacturers have installed more than 30 million square feet of CarbonCast surface area on over 700 structures since introducing the technology in 2004.
The first-ever national partnership of precast companies, AltusGroup was founded in 2003 to develop, manufacture and market precast innovations such as the award-winning CarbonCast® line of products featuring C-GRID carbon fiber grid reinforcing. With more than two dozen structural and architectural locations in the United States, the 16 North American and three international AltusGroup companies have an unparalleled network of manufacturing plants, technical staff and sales personnel to ensure architects, engineers and contractors get the help they need—and the quality and performance they expect—when they select CarbonCast products.
