Alpha Packaging Introduces New Stocking Location on the West Coast
Redlands, California (PRWEB) August 20, 2014 -- Alpha Packaging has expanded its in-stock inventory program to the west coast with a new stocking program that allows customers to purchase nearly 200 popular stock bottles and jars in small quantities, straight from inventory. The product lines represented in the new stocking program include polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and high density polyethylene (HDPE) bottles and jars for the key markets Alpha serves, including nutritional supplements, personal care products, pharmaceuticals, automotive & household chemicals and condiments & sauces. This is the first time Alpha has had a stocking facility on the west coast from which its distributor partners and direct customers could purchase top-selling stock lines directly off the floor.
According to Marny Bielefeldt, Alpha’s director of marketing, “We’ve made a conscious effort to select top-selling product lines and carry multiple color options that correspond to sales trends across key market segments. The west coast, and southern California in particular, is an under-served market for many of our stock lines, and we believe having bottles in stock at competitive pricing will help us sell more products to customers who did not want to wait for make-to-order runs.”
Popular product lines being stocked in Redlands include PET Wide Mouth Jars, PET Boston Rounds, PET Cosmo Rounds, HDPE Pharma Line Packers, PET Contoured Oblongs, PET Plaza Jars, PET Tremont Sprayers and HDPE Oblongs. Items will be sold in pallet quantities as published on the Alpha web site (http://www.alphap.com/company/wcwarehouse.html), and customers will have one week to pick up their order once they place their PO. For customers who need quantities in excess of the quantities Alpha will stock in California, the company can schedule a production run and Alpha will ship items FOB the plant of manufacture.
Currently, Alpha’s warehouse is filled with more than 3.1 million bottles representing 95 different SKUs. By the end of the third quarter, it expects to have nearly 9 million bottles in inventory covering at least 190 SKUs.
