The ISI Group Partners with the Agape Group to Donate School Supplies to Children in Need
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 20, 2014 -- The ISI group of companies, which consists of Loyaltyworks (http://www.loyaltyworks.com/), Incentive Solutions (http://www.incentivesolutions.com/), and Travel Solutions (http://www.isitravelsolutions.com/), premium providers of business incentive programs, and travel incentive programs, has partnered with the Agape Group (http://agapeatlanta.org/) to participate in their annual back-to-school Great Backpack Giveaway. This event helps to provide the children of low-income families with supplies that are critical to their ability to further their education and their future.
Ashley Lodge, account coordinator team lead for the ISI group, was the one who originally suggested the idea for participation in the Great Backpack Giveaway after a conversation with her mother about helping children in the Atlanta area. Heading the project up, she partnered with account coordinator Justin Rieling and the ISI group’s Care Committee to begin the drive. The executive leadership team agreed to match every donation that was made, and one of our partners, Dri-Eaz (http://www.drieaz.com/), even got into the giving spirit and donated 10 backpacks! The company ultimately donated 51 backpacks to the Great Backpack Drive. Each backpack contains paper, pencils, scissors, glue, folders, notebooks, and any other supplies that are necessary to succeed throughout the school year.
Agape Executive Director Nell Benn says “Agape is very fortunate to have partners committed to making a difference, and what better way to make a difference than to equip a child to succeed in school.” Steve Damerow, CEO of the ISI group says that “here at the ISI group we know the value of a good education and we take it very seriously. We understand how important it is to have the tools required to succeed in education, and that without the help of others, many of these children wouldn’t have them. When Ashley approached us with the idea, we knew that it was the right thing to do, and all the employees were eager to chip in. The great thing is that this has really sparked a new level of excitement in our management team and our employees, and we’re hoping to find other avenues that allow us to contribute more toward education in the future. We feel that investing in education is wise for everyone, and we hope that other companies will do the same.”
The backpacks were distributed at the Agape building on August 1st to thousands of local families. Many arrived at 4 am to ensure their children would receive the supplies they need for the upcoming school year. Other major contributors to the initiative included Accenture, Mrs. Mary Claus, For the Kids in All of Us, Incentive Solutions, Insperity, N3 Results, National Charity League, Peachtree Presbyterian Church, Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, Piedmont Healthcare, Mr. Jack Sawyer and Mr. Bill Torres and Trinity Presbyterian Church.
