Ground/Water Treatment & Technology, LLC (GWTT) Celebrates 365 Days Without OSHA Incident
Wharton, NJ (PRWEB) August 19, 2014 -- Ground/Water Treatment & Technology, LLC (GWTT) celebrated 365 days without an OSHA recordable incident this July. At GWTT, LLC safety is never a compromise. This is a commitment that is entrenched within the entire organization. For all employees, this means ensuring and continuing to develop safe working conditions that serve to protect GWTT employees, contractors, neighbors and clients.
A high degree of safety awareness coupled with clear rules and guidelines form the basis for excellent health and safety programs that GWTT has in place today. In 2013, GWTT launched a new company-wide safety initiative to continue to promote safety awareness and minimize risk.
Health and safety is not just about the acceptance of rules and regulations, but the open dialogue employees have with management in order to benefit from experience and learn from mistakes. With a stronger emphasis on communication, GWTT’s employees continue to share information with co-workers and management while communicating goals and results to their employees and upper management. This collaborating safety effort has contributed to the success experienced so far.
Looking ahead, GWTT’s Health & Safety Director, Earl Alberti, together with GWTT’s Safety Committee, has introduced a new employee mentoring program. The program will pair an experienced employee with a brand new employee to work through tasks and answer questions that arise during their first few weeks of employment.
As stated by GWTT President and CEO, Robert Kunzel, “If you feel that a situation is unsafe, stop what you are doing and re-evaluate. Every employee is empowered to stop work and ensure safety.”
