Castlewood at Monarch Cove Treatment Center for Eating Disorders Announces New Clinical Director
St. Louis, Mo (PRWEB) August 19, 2014 -- Castlewood Treatment Center for Eating Disorders, a national leader in eating disorder treatment, announced today the promotion of Jennifer Edwards, LPC, R-DMT, to clinical director of Castlewood at Monarch Cove Treatment Center. Castlewood at Monarch Cove is a trusted affiliate of Castlewood Treatment Center located in Monterey, Calif. The facility offers residential, partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) services to men and women age 16 and up.
Edwards joined the Castlewood team in 2008 at the St. Louis facility in the dance/movement therapy program and has embraced several roles, most recently in the position of primary therapist and director for PHP and IOP. Edwards will be responsible for the clinical supervision of the treatment teams and will ensure the programs continue to meet Castlewood’s commitment to providing the highest level of care.
Edwards has a master’s degree in counseling and Dance/Movement Therapy from Columbia College Chicago and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland in psychology and dance. Her training as a dance/movement therapist, combined with her training in sensorimotor psychotherapy, allows her to offer a unique approach to helping clients reconnect with their body.
“I’m excited to jump into my new role as clinical director and lead the compassionate and creative staff of Castlewood at Monarch Cove as we help clients overcome the challenges and complexities of this disease,” said Edwards. “I’m particularly passionate about helping clients become comfortable with reconnecting to their body and am thrilled to be at a place where clients can feel safe, get individualized treatment and discover a life of recovery.”
