Christian-Michaels Named CEO of Family Services of Western Pennsylvania
Pittsburgh, PA (PRWEB) August 25, 2014 -- Family Services of Western Pennsylvania named Stephen Christian-Michaels President and Chief Executive Officer effective July 14, 2014. Previously, Mr. Christian-Michaels served Family Services as Chief Operating Officer since 1998.

Barcellona, Chief Financial Officer of Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and Chair of Family Services’ Board of Trustees. “He will bring the forward thinking, leadership and clinical experience Family Services needs to continue to be the leader in integrated care and innovative service programs. We are delighted to have Stephen take the helm of the organization.”
Mr. Christian-Michaels’ career focus has been on providing behavioral health and recovery-related care and services for individuals of all ages. He has worked on developing systems and programs that break the mold of recovery and behavioral health care, and is passionate about creating the public policy and funding models to create independence for the individuals served.
Mr. Christian-Michaels is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, with a Master’s Degree from the University of Chicago. He worked in the DuPage County, Illinois Health Department prior to joining Family Services, and consulted with the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Office of Behavioral Health which serves Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.
