Womanhood Launches Interview Series with Successful Female Millionaires
Los Angeles, California (PRWEB) August 21, 2014 -- Privately-funded start-up, Womanhood, today announced the launch of a new series of interviews featuring female entrepreneurs. The aim of the series is to highlight the success that women have had in a tech industry that is predominantly dominated by men.
Womanhood was founded on a passionate curiosity as to why some women can rise to the top of corporations - such as Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg - and others struggle to even get a salary in line with their male counterparts.
The first focus of this new start-up will be to feature women who have managed to defy the odds and either lead a company, like Yahoo's Marissa Mayer, or start their own, like the 17 year old Tori Molnar who founded Utoria.
The first interview in the series highlights the brilliant Robin Kassner. Her interview can be found here. Robin rose to fame when she was featured on Bravo's Millionaire Matchmaker TV show. Not once, but twice.
The show highlighted the success she's had growing her PR company, Haute PR.
This new female-orientated brand also hopes to help women navigate the online landscape and dominate social media. One such example are the attractive infographics they're creating. The first one released, a Social Media Cheatsheet, shows the best times to post on social networks and which words help to get content shared the most.
Co-founder of the site, James Roeder, had this to say; "The successful start-up stories out of Silicon Valley and other tech-focused cities almost always seem to be focused on male leaders. Women make up half of the population, but far less than half of the founders and CEO's in this space."
He continued, "Our mission is to see why the playing field is leaning so far towards males and what, if anything, women can do to give themselves a better chance of success."
Womanhood now aims to continue with a large advertising campaign to raise awareness of its mission and empower more women to online success through inspiring stories.
