Rucker first attained multi-platinum status as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of Hootie & the Blowfish.
This annual gala serves as the chief fundraising event for the Andy Roddick Foundation to support its mission to expand opportunities for young people to learn, thrive and succeed. Founder and Chairman Andy Roddick began the Foundation in 2000 and moved it to be headquartered in Austin in 2012.
“I am excited to have Darius Rucker join us this year in our annual gala,” said Roddick. “This night is important to help raise funds that positively impact the Austin area elementary school aged children we are working with.”
The gala includes a cocktail reception and exclusive live auctions, followed by Rucker’s concert. A limited number of gala tables and tickets are still available, please contact events(at)arfoundation(dot)org.
