Johnson demonstrates how to play the lick as follows; 7th fret of the 3rd string with 3rd finger and slide up to the 8th fret and then back to the 7th and then a pull-off to the 5th fret with first finger and then a hammer-on to the 7th fret of the 4th string with 3rd finger and then back to the 5th fret of the 3rd string and finally a quick legato descending run to the 7th fret of the 4th string with 3rd finger to the 5th fret with first finger to the 7th fret of the 5th string with first finger to the 5th fret of the 4th string with first finger and finally ending on the 7th fret of the 4th string, which is the root note.
