EB-5 Expert Lauren Cohen to Speak at the EB-5 Group's Florida EB-5 SEC/FINRA Conference
West Palm Beach, FL (PRWEB) August 22, 2014 -- Lauren Cohen, founder of e-Council Inc. and active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), will be a featured panelist at this year’s EB-5 SEC/FINRA Conference in West Palm Beach, FL. An expert in the field of EB-5 and immigration in general, Ms. Cohen is no stranger to the industry conference circuit, having been a participant in many seminars and conferences over the last several years. These include various AILA events, conferences sponsored by Immigration Lawyers Weekly and EB-5Investors.com, as well as a number of private EB-5 law firm-chaired events. Lauren's unique point of view stems from her background as a Canadian immigrant to the US. “My personal, hands-on understanding of the process of immigration, combined with my legal expertise, has allowed me to put myself into our clients’ shoes, so to speak, and that has been one of the keys to our success as a company,” says Ms. Cohen.
In 2008, Ms. Cohen developed e-Council Inc., and began creating professional Business Plans for all types of business visas, with a special focus on EB-5 projects for direct investments and regional centers. E-Council Inc. not only designs business plans to complement visa applications, but also works closely with business owners to develop their business models and strategies in the process. Since its inception, e-council Inc. has created hundreds of successful business plans for dozens of overseas and domestic clients. Says Ms. Cohen, “Our team is comprised of attorneys, CPAs, PhD’s, MBA's and other professionals, which gives our clients peace of mind, knowing that they can expect best-in-class products and services that will achieve the desired results.”
Ms. Cohen embraces the opportunity to share her insight at the upcoming SEC/FINRA conference. “This conference,” says Ms. Cohen, “will give me the chance to share my knowledge and experience with local business owners and professionals interested in learning about the complex world of EB-5.” The conference aims to clarify some of the confusion surrounding EB-5 as it relates to securities and compliance, and how FINRA and the SEC come into play. Attendees can expect to hear some of Ms. Cohen’s thoughts on the state of EB-5 today. “I look forward to delving into not only how to craft business plans that comply with EB-5, but the current state of the EB-5 industry as well,” says Ms. Cohen.
The Florida EB-5 SEC/FINRA Conference will take place at the Hyatt Place Hotel in West Palm Beach, Florida on August 28th.
