Greenberg Traurig’s Vincent Marchetti Elected Secretary/Treasurer of Tampa Sports Authority
TAMPA, FL (PRWEB) August 20, 2014 -- Vincent Marchetti, a shareholder in the Environment and Land Development Practice Group at the Tampa office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, was elected Secretary/Treasurer of the Tampa Sports Authority. Experienced in sports law matters, Marchetti is a former chairman of the Authority. His term as Secretary/Treasurer began August 1, 2014. Marchetti will also Chair the Sport’s Authority’s Finance Committee for the next year.
Governed by a board of 11 members, the Tampa Sports Authority was created for the purpose of planning, developing and maintaining a comprehensive complex of sports and recreational facilities for the Tampa Bay area. The Authority currently manages Raymond James Stadium and the three city public golf courses. They also serve as the landlord for George Steinbrenner Field and the Tampa Bay Times Forum.

Certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in city, county and local government law, Marchetti has advised numerous boards and authorities within local government on these issues. He also has extensive experience representing clients in residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use projects, including shopping centers, office buildings, planned unit developments, hotels, and public facilities in the Tampa Bay region and the State of Florida. He is experienced in land use litigation matters as well as mediation.
