Loftware Announces Release of Loftware Print Server 10.2 and Loftware Label Manager 10.2
Portsmouth, NH (PRWEB) August 21, 2014 -- Loftware, Inc., the global leader in Enterprise Labeling Solutions, today announced the release of the enhanced Loftware Print Server (LPS) 10.2 and Loftware Label Manager (LLM) 10.2. Continuing to deliver on Loftware’s commitment to innovate, the release delivers powerful new Character Level Formatting (CLF) capabilities, performance improvements and other important features.
With CLF users now have the opportunity to change a variety of attributes on any character or word in a text field including bold, italic, underline, superscript, subscript, font, font size and position, color, text direction and line breaks. The feature, which addresses European Union (EU) regulation 1169, designed to make food labeling easier to understand, offers extensive flexibility enabling users to address regulatory standards without having to change their source of data.
Several other improvements were made to streamline and improve overall system performance. In high-volume printing environments, early customers even report a printing performance increase of over 10% on top of an existing industry leading performance. To meet customer print requirements, Loftware has also added configuration settings to enable color printing to cab XC two-color printers in addition to adding named printer support for many new models of Intermec printers. Additionally, the complete set of pictograms required for Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) are now part of the standard images provided with the LPS and LLM solutions, to further simplify adherence to GHS standards.
“Today more than ever, labeling challenges have become a significant issue for companies looking to adhere to evolving regulatory standards,” stated Scott Johnson, Loftware Director of Product Management. “With LPS 10.2 we are able to help our customers meet these significant regulatory demands to achieve compliance, while extending flexibility and realizing improved performance,” he added.
