Liverpool-based Paul Rooney Solicitors is increasing its presence in the City with a new flagship office, along with an expanded range of services. The firm is moving from its current base in Stanley Street to a new 324 square metre location spread over two floors on Tarleton Street, off Church Street, in the heart of the City’s main shopping area and has taken an initial five year lease. The new premises, formerly a branch of Santander, has an open plan advice centre where customers can pop in for a coffee and learn about the firm’s expanded range of services, speak with a qualified solicitor and start a claim. It also has a suite of offices for private consultations and houses a team of over twenty solicitors and case handlers.
Paul Rooney Solicitors has had a presence in Liverpool for over 30 years. The opening of the new branch not only signals a new era for the firm but reflects the changing legal services market which has seen an influx of large brands and private investors. The Tarleton Street branch will allow consumers to drop in and shop for their legal needs in a friendly environment. It is headed up by Liverpool solicitor Caroline Sergeant who has been practising in the City for over 25 years and leads a 20-strong team. She says: “In over 30 years of serving the people of Liverpool, Paul Rooney has prided itself on providing personal and friendly legal advice. We understand that seeing a solicitor can often be daunting but we want to make people feel at ease when they come to see us. Our new base will enable us to provide the people of Liverpool with an even better service for many more years to come.”
The firm has also recently expanded its services and now offers advice across a range of matters, including:
- Personal injury claims: road traffic accidents, slips and trips, major incidents
- Medical negligence claims: wrong advice and treatment
- Tenants’ disrepair claims: heating and damp
- Care home claims: poor care and claims for care funding against the NHS.
Mark Grover is CEO of Antony Hodari Legal Service Group, which owns Paul Rooney Solicitors and says: “The Paul Rooney brand is an established legal brand built on a proud heritage of serving the Liverpool community. The new premises affirm our commitment to serving the people of Liverpool. It also demonstrates our ability to meet the demands of the current legal market and reflects the way in which some consumers are choosing to
buy their legal services. We’re now able to offer consumers an expanded range of advice, with greater levels of service and value.”
The firm was set up by Paul Rooney over 30 years ago to serve the people of Liverpool and was bought by Antony Hodari Legal Services Group in 2012. Mr Rooney sadly passed away in April of this year.
