Ser Familia 3rd Annual “Celebrating Our Heritage” Will Feature Top Atlanta Chefs
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) August 23, 2014 -- A group of the city’s finest Latino chefs will team up in a culinary extravaganza at the 3rd Ser Familia’s “Celebrating Our Heritage.” The event will take place on Friday, September 5, 2014, at 7 p.m. at the Rialto Center for the Arts in Atlanta.
Guests will have the opportunity to taste plates created by the featured chefs: Oscar Mendivil, Executive Chef of Tapa Tapa; Julio Delgado, Executive Chef of Chateau Elan; Julio Viera, Executive Chef of the law firm King & Spalding; Benny Vega, master professor chef at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Academy; and Eric Centeno, executive chef at the World Trade Center of Atlanta. The chefs will be serving a variety of tasting portions.
On top of the great dishes, guests will taste outstanding local brews from the Red Hare Brewing Company.
Ser Familia will present the Maryellen Cano Memorial Scholarship to a Latino student. There will also be partnership awards presented to Macy's as the Corporate Partner of the Year, Red Hare Brewing Company as the Business Partner of the Year and Fair Oaks Elementary School as the Community Partner of the Year.
Everyone will also enjoy live music by the Rialto Jazz Band, and Samba and Batucada performances by Viva Brazil. There will also a display of artwork by local artists. The evening will raise funds for the programs of Ser Familia.
