The Network Announces New Ethics and Compliance Training Course To Help Companies Maintain Financial Integrity
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) August 21, 2014 -- The Network, Inc., a leading provider of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) solutions, announced the release of new educational materials in their Ethics & Compliance Training Course Library, including a new online course focusing on preserving financial integrity.
Using a visual storytelling approach and vector-animated style, The Network’s ethics and compliance training and communication solutions engage employees with branching scenarios, assessments, interactive exercises and hands-on activities. The newest addition to The Network’s course library is the Financial Integrity course, which centers on the importance of accurate recordkeeping, employees’ daily obligations in dealing with financial and accounting information, including safeguarding data and other records, and the consequences of financial misconduct.
“We’re very excited to add this essential ethics and compliance topic to our course library,” Julie Moriarty, General Manager of Training & Communications Strategy, said. “The course uses current, relevant scenarios and case studies to demonstrate important practices around financial integrity, accounting and bookkeeping. Employees will also learn ethical sales practices, regulatory repercussions of financial misconduct and what their specific obligations are relative to upholding their organizations’ financial integrity.”
In addition to the Financial Integrity course, The Network also released four new Learning Blocks, which provide shorter, 5-7 minute training sequences with interactive exercises. These new sessions cover four important aspects of every company’s ethics and compliance training and communications program:
• Financial Integrity - This Learning Block builds awareness around the principles of financial integrity including what financial integrity is and why it is important, proper accounting and recordkeeping, and each employee's role in being timely, accurate and honest in managing financial information, as well as in responsible storage and disposal of data.
• Fraud – This Learning Block provides examples of workplace fraud, situations where this type of theft might occur and the cost of workplace fraud to the company and its stakeholders. The lesson also explains what employees can do to protect their organization against fraud.
• Anti-Money Laundering - Money laundering is a serious crime that contributes to corruption and undermines financial systems worldwide. The Network's Anti-Money Laundering Learning Block illustrates what money laundering is, the negative effects of the crime, how it is done and what employees can do to prevent it.
• Sales Ethics - Companies have a responsibility to conduct sales in an ethical fashion. The Network's Sales Ethics Learning Block helps acquaint employees with ethical and prohibited sales practices, penalties for violations, how to seek help for questions and how to report concerns.
“We pride ourselves on continually delivering the most current and engaging training solutions to educate employees on today’s important ethics and compliance issues,” Luis Ramos, CEO of The Network, said. “Our ethics and compliance courses, Learning Blocks and Spot-on Ethics Vignettes are designed specifically to create awareness and maintain employee retention on key topics. Our expanding Training and Communications Library supports all of the other custom and off-the-shelf materials we provide, to help companies build and reinforce ethical cultures, such as Codes of Conduct and other policies, managers’ guides, posters and other program marketing materials.
