Talon Innovations Selected as Finalist for Minnesota Business Magazine Award
Sauk Rapids, MN (PRWEB) August 26, 2014 -- Talon Innovations, a provider of Precision Machined Products and Assemblies for the Semiconductor, Medical Device, Aerospace and other technology-driven industries, announces today that it is a finalist for the Minnesota Business magazine’s fourth annual Manufacturing Award in the category of Employee Training. This follows the announcement in February that Talon received a grant from the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership (MSJP) Program to develop a robust new training program for its employees.
Talon’s new training program has been developed in partnership with the St. Cloud Technical & Community College (SCTCC). Talon and the SCTCC are working together to develop curriculum and roll the training out for employees.
“This is great recognition of the time, effort and dedication of our employees to put this new program into place,” said Greg Olson, CEO of Talon. “We have high expectations that this new program will further develop our employees, specifically in key technical areas related to our medical contract manufacturing business.”
Each year Minnesota Business magazine honors the industry’s best leaders and companies with a prestigious awards event and much-read feature article spotlighting all the finalists. This year the event will be held in Minneapolis on Sept 23, and Talon will be featured in the October Manufacturing issue of Minnesota Business magazine.

Further, the new training program also helps employees more quickly obtain skills that will help them advance within the company.
