BOSTON (PRWEB) August 22, 2014 -- James D. Masterman, co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Litigation Group in Boston, was a featured speaker at the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Annual Meeting on August 7, 2014 at the Westin Copley Place in Boston, MA.
Masterman served as a panelist for the ABA Litigation Section’s panel on “Transformers: Making the Complex Understandable and Compelling,” which focused on the best techniques for managing and presenting compelling, easy-to-understand expert testimony. He and fellow panelists discussed how to simplify the complex, use multiple experts and effective rebuttal experts, avoid ethical issues, procedural traps and mistakes, and handle expert discovery.
Masterman is a trial lawyer with a broad range of experience in eminent domain and real estate valuation litigation, including tax proceedings and lease arbitrations, and in the litigation of land use and property rights issues. His representation of commercial, industrial and residential property owners and developers requires his appearance in U.S. District Court, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, and every state and administrative court of Massachusetts and throughout New England. His advice is also sought by multi-property clients on a national basis on all aspects of eminent domain. He served as Chair of the American Bar Association's Committee of Condemnation, Zoning and Land Use Litigation and is a frequent lecturer and writer on eminent domain and valuation, with his articles appearing in many legal and trade publications.
