Hope For The Warriors Announces Celebrity Golf Invitational Benefiting Military Families
Wallace, NC (PRWEB) August 22, 2014 -- Wounded service members, celebrities, sports legends and more will enjoy four days of golf and fun as part of the 5th Annual Scarlet & Gold Invitational. The Scarlet & Gold Invitational begins on Sunday, September 14 at the River Landing Country Club in Wallace, NC. All proceeds from the event will benefit Hope For The Warriors®, a national nonprofit dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope for our service members and our military families.
The event is sure to be one of tribute to our nation’s military heroes, as well as entertainment with celebrities and former athletes from the NBA, NFL and MLB. Returning as Celebrity Hosts this year are Johnny Bench and Doug Flynn. Johnny Bench is a former MLB catcher who most notably played for the Cincinnati Reds from 1967 to 1983. Doug Flynn is a former MLB infielder most known for playing with the Cincinnati Reds and New York Mets. Other notable celebrities in attendance will include NASCAR driver Mike Skinner and his wife and SIRIUS radio show host, Angie Skinner, and former Offensive Lineman for the Washington Redskins, Ken Huff.
