Hyatt Regency Cambridge today announces the appointment of Joan Ferraro as the new director of sales and marketing. In this role, Ferraro will be responsible for all aspects of Hyatt Regency Cambridge’s short and long-term planning and preparation of the marketing, sales plans, programs and annual budget.
Ferraro comes to Hyatt Regency Cambridge with considerable experience in the hospitality industry, most recently with Millennium Bostonian Hotel, as the director of sales and marketing. Ferraro previously held the position of director of sales & marketing, Boston Marriott Quincy Hotel; director of sales & marketing Newport Marriott Hotel, Rhode Island; director of corporate sales, Boston Marriott Copley Place Hotel; sales manager, Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau and several sales and catering positions at The Sheraton Boston Hotel & Towers.

As native of Massachusetts, Ferraro earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Travel from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, as well as an MBA in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She is a Certified Meeting Professional, Certified Convention Manager and a past committee member of Meeting Professionals International/New England MPI. Ferraro is an active volunteer in her community for both the Swampscott Farmer’s Market Committee and the Swampscott Parks and Recreation Committee, and formerly served on the Board of Directors of the Newport County Boys & Girls Club.
