NY Heart Health Clinics Created by Dr. David Greuner and Dr. David Luu of NYC Surgical Associates
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 22, 2014 -- The international team of heart surgeons at NY Heart Health Clinics are promoting non-invasive screening, risk assessment and public awareness of the four most preventable risks of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, even in asymptomatic patients: sudden death from heart disease, stroke, Deep Vein Thrombosis and Pulmonary Embolus, and Peripheral Vascular Disease.
“NY Heart Health Clinics are promoting painless, noninvasive screening at accredited facilities at all of our locations with cutting edge, industry leading ultrasound technology,” says Dr. Greuner, a leading cardiovascular surgeon, cofounder and managing director of NYC Surgical Associates. "The public needs to be informed of the risks and enormous cost of cardiovascular disease," says Dr. Greuner. "The recent tragic death of former American Idol finalist Michael Johns at age 35 has been attributed to Deep Vein Thrombosis, or a blood clot that originated in his ankle. These clots can be easily treated once detected, but if not treated they can break free and travel to the lungs, causing a pulmonary embolism which in extreme cases can cause sudden death."
Joining Dr. Greuner in the creation of NY Heart Health Clinics is Dr. David Luu, a renowned heart surgeon based in Paris, France. Dr. Greuner and Dr. Luu share a passion for philanthropy and have informally merged their charitable organizations, NYC Surgical Cares and The Heart Fund to implement a worldwide screening program for the prevention of cardiovascular disease. “We are combining our philanthropic efforts and utilizing both of our resources to make a greater impact,” says Dr. Greuner.
The NY Heart Clinics will be offering specialty medical services, imaging and diagnostics and laboratory testing at each clinic location. The clinics will also offer an Executive Health Program including preventive medicine, health management, life coaching and corporate wellness services. The Check-Up Executive service will provide cardiovascular screening and comprehensive testing.
The Private Medical Club at NY Heart Health Clinics will feature exclusive services for members to provide important health advantages, accessible through a worldwide network of medical professionals.
