PlayCore and Hitchcock Design present Nature Play Symposium with Unique Professional Development Opportunity

Learn to Effectively Advocate for Nature Play Environments

PlayCore is proud to partner with the award-winning Hitchcock Design Group, one of the largest planning and landscape architecture firms in Illinois, to provide a complimentary Nature Play Symposium focused on infusing nature into the everyday spaces of childhood. The event will be held in Burr Ridge, IL, on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Burr Ridge Community Center located in Harvester Park. The event will include sessions on topics that address research-based, design best practices for creating nature play environments, showcase case examples, and offer workshop activities to discuss challenges, explore design ideas, and offer tips to advocate for your next project.

The Burr Ridge Park District will host the event designed for professionals in the fields of park and recreation, landscape architecture, and education. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. after a park tour. Sponsored by Hitchcock Design Group, Cunningham Recreation, and GameTime, sessions will be led by Lisa Moore, Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategic Services, from PlayCore’s Center for Professional Development, Andy Howard, Senior Associate and Project Designer of Hitchcock Design Group, and Eric F. Hornig, Principal of Hitchcock Design Group. The session presented by Lisa Moore will offer continuing education units for professionals, and the agenda is promises to be interactive, informative, and educational. Lunch, CEU certificates, and educational resources will be provided.
