Planet Play is a new organization that connects children, families, and communities with play. Planet Play brings creative play experiences to the Kansas City metro communities for young children and their families to explore and learn together. “We can’t wait to bring Imagination Playground and other creative play experiences to the children, families, and communities of Greater Kansas City. We’re a new organization, and Imagination Playground will launch our programming. Winning Imagination Playground enables us to offer the Year of Play 2015 – daylong family events in communities across the Kansas City metro area. Thank you for this amazing opportunity!” said Lauranne Hess, President of Planet Play.

“Planet Play and 928 other organizations all cast their votes for play,” explained Dave Krishock, President of Imagination Playground. “Planet Play is a perfect example of the benefits of rallying your community, behind you. Determination was their key to success; they participated in each program, this time encouraging folks by using their website, Facebook and Twitter. Their 224 friends responded, many of them voting on a daily basis to bring these amazing Blue Blocks to the children of their community.” David Krishock stated, “We are excited for the communities that will get to play with these blocks. And we’re happy to be offering yet another opportunity for another deserving organization to be awarded an Imagination Playground; all they have to do is VOTE for Play.”

Imagination Playground continues to have an overwhelming response with over 17,000 votes cast in this segment of the VOTE for Play program and will be extending the program for another voting period.
