Eustis, Florida (PRWEB) August 25, 2014
Camp Boggy Creek proudly announces veteran actor John Slattery as Grand Marshal of the 20th Annual Bruce Rossmeyer Ride for Children. This weekend event, to be held on October 4th and 5th, is presented by Hamlin & Associates, JM Family Enterprises, Inc. and JM&A Group.
All funds raised will benefit Camp Boggy Creek, serving children with serious illnesses and their families by making it possible for them to experience the adventure of camp in an environment capable of meeting their medical needs, at no cost to their families.
Slattery, an avid motorcyclist, is an Emmy nominated actor and veteran of TV, film and stage. Most recently he is known for his role as Roger Sterling in the AMC series Mad Men.
The Accelerating Dreams of Children gala will be held at Destination Daytona Saturday evening. On Sunday, October 5th, over 700 riders will take a police escorted ride, led by Grand Marshals John Slattery and bike builder, Paul Yaffe, from Destination Daytona in Ormond Beach to Camp Boggy Creek in Eustis. Participants will enjoy a complimentary lunch provided by Outback Steakhouse, music, and silent and live auctions at the camp after the Ride. Slattery’s support is greatly appreciated by both Camp Boggy Creek and the Rossmeyer family.
Mandy Rossmeyer Campbell, daughter of the late Bruce Rossmeyer, says, “My dad loved this Camp and what it stands for. We are so excited to be celebrating the 20th year of the Ride for Children. Having John Slattery a part of the event means so much to us. I know we’ll have a great turnout.”
