OneVoiceASNC Creates Toledo War Fall Networking Challenge

OneVoiceASNC will utilize the historic rivalry between Ohio and Michigan to help extend Affinity Social Network Communities in those states. The “Toledo War” Networking Challenge title references that before disputes were settled on the gridiron, Wolverines and Buckeyes literally did battle.

The power of social media to drive high margin dollars to charity was recently demonstrated by the ALS ice bucket challenge viral social network event.

OneVoiceASNC was created as a global presence utilizing the successful model created by NFL and NBA alumni of Michigan and Ohio State. The first OneVoiceASNC virtual event features two of Affinity Social Network Communities™ that created and successfully implemented the college based model.

Go Blue Then and Now was created in 2012. BuckeyeNationASNC was created last year. These communities are simply virtual presences designed to spread visibility about charity events. The communities allow fans of each team to learn more about the community contributions made by their alumni athletes. By increasing visibility, it leads to more donations with a very high margin of impact.

The power of social media to drive high margin dollars to charity was recently demonstrated by the ALS ice bucket challenge viral social network event. A single person who cared greatly about that cause initiated a way for donations to flow to ALS research at no cost to the organizations needing that funding. Because the idea was clever and created a fun way to use social media, millions of dollars were raised. OneVoiceASNC is designed to collect, organize and summarize information for thousands of charities who will also benefit from the willingness of those on social media to share information. While the ice bucket challenge was an ephemeral fad, OneVoice is a permanent presence. It’s impact will continue to grow exponentially as new followers join.

In addition to promoting existing charity events, OneVoiceASNC creates virtual events for the benefit of underlying ASNCs. The Toledo Challenge is the first. Details will be provided shortly, but in essence, the challenge will involve the two existing ASNCs and four new ASCNs (two in each state). Final details will be released once ASNC presences for Western Michigan, Miami University, DetroitSportsASNC and CevelandSportsASNC are completed.

Our world is accelerating in transition. Historical rivalries die out and new ones are created. This is true also with respect to many of the charities we will highlight. Charities that feature highly visible people are dependent on the visibility of the person. As athletes transition from sports to other careers, their ability to fund charitable causes often diminishes. However, the needs of those who received benefits from the foundation do not diminish. OneVoiceASNC will continue to provide visibility to these valuable programs beyond a traditional life span.
