ORLANDO, FLA. (PRWEB) August 28, 2014
Technology Assurance Labs announced today that it has received a 2014 M2M Evolution Business Impact Awards from TMC and Crossfire Media which was announced at the M2M Evolution Conference & Expo, held August 11-14, 2014, at the Rio, Las Vegas. The Business Impact Awards program recognized a select group of companies and business leaders who have successfully leveraged M2M and the Internet of Things (IoT) to solve a business issue, launch a new service or create revenue opportunities.
Ken Stauffer, co-founder of Technology Assurance Labs, explains that the device---named OWL© for Overhead Wireless Logic System--- automatically logs the volume of propane fuel in tanks and wirelessly transmits that information to the dealer’s laptop, tablet, or cellphone. It also provides a monthly usage invoice (e.g. virtual metering) so dealers can offer a “pay as you go service”. The radio sensor is economical enough to be worthwhile for smaller residential propane tanks. It pays for itself in a couple of saved truck rolls. http://www.owlsite.net
Garry Lovelace, President of Lovelace Gas, said, “I’ve deployed OWL© on propane tanks at both my commercial and residential accounts. Tank monitoring is great, but OWL© has taken tank monitoring to the next level --- I can now offer a monthly usage-based invoice. My customers enjoy not having to pay for a full tank of gas, and I enjoy being able to fill the tank when we’re on that route. OWL© provides a more even cash flow for both my customers and me, and it allows me to maintain monthly contact with my customers. It is also a great sales tool to gain new customers.”
“The Business Impact Awards showcases the wealth of opportunity to be found in M2M and IoT technology across a broad range of industries and for a variety of business needs and applications,” said Carl Ford, CEO, Crossfire Media, executive director of content, M2M Evolution. “We were impressed by the amount of innovation from Technology Assurance Labs, http://www.talabs.com, and we look forward to seeing how these businesses will continue to leverage M2M and IoT in the future.”
The Business Impact winners will be featured in the M2M eNewsletter and website.
