The Lodge at Pine Cove Announces Fall Yoga Retreat and Spring Writing Retreat
Noelville, Rainbow County, Ontario (PRWEB) August 25, 2014 -- The management of The Lodge at Pine Cove (http://www.frenchriver.com) is pleased to announce the addition of two activity-based, specialty retreats that will take place at the French River lodge. A fall Women’s Yoga Retreat has been scheduled for mid-October and a spring Creative Writing Retreat will take place at the lodge next May. Situated on the historic French River, The Lodge at Pine Cove is an upscale Ontario resort and wilderness lodge that features luxury waterfront cottages and fine dining, and specializes in outdoor adventure vacations, romantic getaways, weddings, creative workshops and speciality retreats.
The Lodge at Pine Cove Women’s Body and Soul Yoga Retreat is a four-day yoga and nature getaway that combines the rejuvenation and relaxation of yoga with a luxurious resort vacation on the French River. Renee Holden, a Certified Yoga Tune-Up® Teacher, Movement Specialist, Thai Massage Practitioner and professional personal trainer, will lead participants through a series of yoga sessions and wellness workshops that relieve stress, strengthen muscles, and sooth both body and soul. During the course of the yoga retreat, participants can also take part in a guided canoe or kayak adventure, or a guided wilderness hike. The Women’s Body and Soul Yoga Retreat takes place at The Lodge at Pine Cove on Thursday, October 16th through Sunday, October 19th, 2014. The Yoga retreat package includes accommodations for three-nights in a luxury waterfront cottage, all meals, all workshops, a pair of Yoga Tune-Up® Therapy balls and optional guided paddling excursion. Retreat enrollment is limited to 20 participants and no prior yoga or paddling experience is required.
Slated to take place on Friday, May 8 to Wednesday, May 13, 2015, the Write on the French River Creative Writing Retreat is a six-day writer’s workshop and resort getaway that gives participants a rare opportunity to learn from some of Canada’s foremost writers and editors. The retreat will be of interest to any writer who wants to improve their writing skills and learn from experts how to market their work; all while enjoying a luxurious and relaxing resort vacation at an award-winning wilderness lodge. Instructors taking part in the spring Write on the French River Creative Writing Retreat include Don Gilmore – author of Canada: A People’s History, Kanata and Mount Pleasant; Oakland Ross – award-winning journalist, novelist and feature writer at the Toronto Star; Susan Scott – author and non-fiction editor at The New Quarterly; and author and travel writer Nicola Ross, who is also the retreat organizer. The writing retreat package includes accommodations for 5-nights in a luxury waterfront cottage, all meals, a guided tour along the French River, all lectures and seminars, one-on-one time with instructors, and discussions on the craft of fine writing. Those attending the retreat will also have free time to write on their own, and to enjoy The Lodge at Pine Cove’s many fine amenities and recreational facilities.
“We are very pleased to offer both the Body and Soul Yoga Retreat and the Write on the French River Creative Writing Retreat at The Lodge at Pine Cove,” states Alex Strachan, inn-keeper and owner of The Lodge at Pine Cove. “We have held yoga and creative writing retreats at the lodge before and they have proven to be very popular. Our lodge on the French River lends itself perfectly to hosting activity-based workshops and retreats such as these.
