The firm’s personal injury practice covers Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina, while their veterans’ disability practice extends nationwide.
Doug received his undergraduate degree at the United States Naval Academy in 1992, then served five years as a Surface Warfare Officer, which included a three-year tour onboard USS PETERSON (DD 969).
Doug then attended Law School at George Mason University School of Law in Arlington Virginia, where he graduated in 2000 with honors. He then served the remainder of his 21-year Navy Career in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps as an attorney.
Doug retired from the Navy after serving a three-year term as a Military Trial Judge, presiding over 150 bench and jury trials in Norfolk Virginia, Washington, DC, and Groton Connecticut.
Since retiring from the Navy, Doug has gained extensive trial experience in Virginia Courts and now regularly fights for injured people throughout Virginia. He is admitted to practice by the State Bar of Virginia, Supreme Court of Virginia, Navy-Marine Corps Court of Criminal Appeals, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
