Houston, TX (PRWEB) August 27, 2014
Each week Rescued Pets Movement (RPM), through its partnership with BARC Animal Shelter & Adoptions, is on the front line pushing hard to reduce the number of homeless dogs and cats from Houston’s euthanasia list with their transport program. RPM steps up the rescue game by saving the dogs and cats from BARC with a unique and sustainable transport system that places these pets in forever homes throughout the nation. With the acquisition of a new building and a weekly increase in rescue numbers, RPM is launching its raise the save (rate) kennel initiative to provide essential kennels for the new clinic. Sponsorship of these new kennels and donations to the Initiative will go to provide a comfortable, calm, and safe place for the short stay with RPM while these pets receive veterinary care or wait to be transported to their forever homes.
Rescued Pets Movement Inc. is a 501(c)(3), all-volunteer organization that provides a second chance for thousands of homeless dogs and cats through transport to forever homes in communities throughout the country that have a need for adoptable pets. RPM was founded by Laura A. Carlock and Cindy J. Perini who have over 26 years of combined rescue experience. The powerhouse combination of Laura, Cindy, RPM’s dedicated board, and their all-volunteer team has rescued over 3200 dogs and cats in just 10 months. The "Raise the Save Kennel Initiative" kick-off event will be Wednesday August 27th, 2014 from 5pm-8pm at 3rd Floor Houston with 10% of the night’s sales benefiting the Kennel Initiative.
