Collingswood, NJ (PRWEB) August 27, 2014
On September 7th from 11:00am to 3:30pm, residents, residents’ families, associates and the general public will have the opportunity to Do Something Grand for Grandparents’ Day. There will be a commemorative intergenerational “Walk for All Ages,” as well as food, games, music, crafts, contests and so much more! The walk will be led by “Finley” the beloved Camden Riversharks’ mascot.
Residents, their grandchildren and great-grandchildren, are encouraged to attend. Resident, Elaine Lucent, who has participated in past years, is planning to share the festivities with her triplet great-granddaughters. “They’ll enjoy all that’s going on,” reflected Lucent.
Resident Mary Decker stated, “I’ll be volunteering for the day and can’t wait to see everything that will be happening.”
The cost is $25.00 registration for a family of four, $10.00 for individuals and $15.00 for a wristband for games. All proceeds go to the United Methodist Homes’ Fellowship Fund, a financial safety net for seniors. For over 107 years, the Homes has upheld residents who have outlived their financial resources.
The public is invited to register to walk, form a team, become a business partner, share on social media, and donate online at http://www.umhnjwalk.org or in person on September 7.
