Tailgater Magazine Tackles Hunger to Help Feed the Homeless
(PRWEB) August 27, 2014 -- Each & every day, millions of Americans do not get enough to eat. A significant percentage of those people are also homeless. While most of us are more fortunate, many are hungry and have nowhere to sleep each night.
With NFL and COLLEGE football kickoffs right around the corner, the time is perfect to help Tailgater magazine “tackle hunger”.
Tailgater magazine CEO Craig Renfro said, “I know from the hundreds of sporting event tailgates that I've attended over the years that the sharing of food, drink, and camaraderie flows in abundance in the parking lot before, during, and after the game. My hope is that with some nice gifts that we’re offering for your donation, you will share with me the same "tailgating" passion for those that are less fortunate than you and I.”
Ultimately, the goal is to support at least one homeless shelter in each of the nation's top 10 largest cities. “We're going to start in the Dallas-Fort Worth area since that's where the company is based and it’s where I live,” Renfro said.
The magazine is offering some great prizes, at various donation levels, including a subscription to Tailgater magazine, Tailgater mirror cover spirit sox, a custom-made Tailgater chair, and a custom-made wooden Tailgater cooler.
“For about the price of a happy meal, you can get a subscription to the magazine and help feed someone who might not have eaten anything all day,” Renfro said.

The magazine is a one-of-a-kind publication, and website, providing a multi-media platform that offers the most unique consumer audience showcase & content on the subject of tailgating & backyard BBQ/outdoor entertaining available today. Each issue features great food & drink recipes, entertainment ideas, and cool gear & products to make your next tailgate, or backyard BBQ party, the best ever!
Tailgating has evolved into an $18 billion a year industry, & Tailgater magazine reaches this affluent, enthusiast audience that spends money participating in outdoor entertainment activities.
“In fact we see almost everyone as a tailgater because the products they purchase are as much a backyard BBQ, home entertainment, camping, hunting, fishing, & RV product, as they are a parking lot experience product,” Renfro said.
