The inaugural Island Hopper Songwriter Fest will bring nationally acclaimed singer-songwriters to Captiva Island and Fort Myers Beach on Estero Island during Fall 2014. Presented by BMI, along with iHeartRadio, Cat Country 107.1, The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel, and the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina, the festival will take place over the weekends of September 27th and October 3rd at popular island venues.
Pink Shell is set to host a portion of the forty-five ticketed events set to take place during the second weekend of the festival. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to experience the voices, back stories, and personalities of Tim James, Mark Mulch, Jeff Prince & Dave Gibson in an intimate island setting at Pink Shell’s “Coconuts.”
Along with the performances, Pink Shell is opening their doors to the public for the “Island Hopper Songwriter Fest Brunch” on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 11am-1pm. A beautiful spread of freshly baked artisan breads, salads, omelet and carving stations, shrimp and crab stuffed Gulf grouper, chicken picatta, a dessert stand and more will be provided with special guest appearances by Gary Hannan & Sonia Leigh.
“Being a part of the first ever Island Hopper Fest is as exciting to us as it will be for the attendees. We look forward to seeing these talented artists and hearing their stories as they entertain and put smiles on the faces of our guests and the public,” stated Ellis Etter, Director of Sales and Marketing for the resort.
