Boulder, Colorado (PRWEB) August 26, 2014

Scaled Agile, Inc. (SAI), provider of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe™), the world’s most comprehensive framework for adopting Lean-Agile best practices across an enterprise, today announced that its Board of Directors named John Lambert as President and Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Company co-founder and former CEO Drew Jemilo will assume the role of Chief Technology Officer. The expanded management team reflects SAI's commitment to supporting customer success through the adoption of SAFe, while advancing the methodology that has led to the company's rapid growth.

“I have known John for many years as a progressive, strategic thinker with a deep understanding of our marketplace and a track record of translating those insights into measurable results," said Dean Leffingwell, Chief Methodologist and creator of the Scaled Agile Framework. “He genuinely cares about our commitment to helping software-dependent enterprises achieve better outcomes and has the right combination of technical knowledge and leadership experience to take SAI to the next level as we continue to build on the phenomenal success we achieved in our first three years.”

Lambert brings more than 25 years experience in leading software systems and development companies through rapid growth, product innovation, and sustained profitability. Prior to joining Scaled Agile, he held principal positions in several major tech companies, including Virtutech (Intel), Moonlight Systems, and Rational Software (IBM). As President and CEO of Virtutech, he returned the company to growth (up 50% by second year), and led the charge to close multi-year, multi-million deals with IBM, Cisco, Freescale, Ericsson, Huawei, Lockheed and others. “SAI is an outstanding organization that has forever changed the way the world looks at software development best practices. I am honored to be working with such a talented and dedicated team as we continue to deliver this ground breaking methodology to our customers, our partners and the global SAFe community." said Lambert.

“I know that I speak for the entire senior management team at SAI when I say that we are thrilled to have somebody of John’s caliber and background join our organization,” said Jemilo. “His understanding of the needs of our customer base and his commitment to building long-lasting strategic partnerships will help ensure that SAI continues to deliver innovations that have a positive impact on people’s lives.”
