KDS Welcomes Platform Evangelist Diana Richie to Its NYC Team
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 27, 2014 -- Diana Richie, a former teacher and K-12 Education Executive Director at Oracle Corporation, joins Knowledge Delivery Systems (KDS), the leading provider of research-based, blended-model strategic professional development solutions for states, districts, and schools.
“Diana has long demonstrated a commitment to the K-12 Education market and its effective use of technology as a tool to personalize learning and facilitate educator decision making. We are excited to have her as a member of the KDS team. With a background in teaching, instructional systems design, product development, sales, marketing, and business development, Diana will be able to speak to districts about the impact of our new Professional Learning Platform,” stated Alvin Crawford, KDS CEO.
Prior to KDS, Diana served as National Director for Performance Improvement at Fuel Education, the leading provider of online learning for schools and a subsidiary of K-12, Inc. For eight years, she led the K-12 Education team as Executive Director at Oracle Corporation and acted as a marketing and sales executive at Hewlett-Packard and Plato Learning/TRO. Diana also developed and executed K-12 market business plans on behalf of the K-12 Education division of Hewlett-Packard. She began her career as an English teacher using technology to develop reading and writing fluency with middle school and high school students at the Spring Branch Independent School District in Houston, Texas.
As Platform Evangelist, Diana will design, develop, maintain, and extend the size and health of KDS’ Professional Learning Platform (PLP) ecosystem so that school district leaders and teachers—as well as industry-leading professional development content providers—make PLP their first choice for building and participating in effective professional development communities that drive a transformation in teaching practice through collaborative learning.
“I’m thrilled to join the passionate team at KDS! They share my commitment for improving K-12 education systems through learning communities, comprehensive professional development, and support for educators,” Diana Richie stated.
