Jeremiah Rivers, the owner of Rivers’ Edge Countertops in Newcastle, recently returned from a trip to Vitoria, Brazil to purchase brand new granite for his clientele.

Partnered with Cosentino Group, a business renowned worldwide for its quartz and natural stone distribution, Rivers was able to travel to Vitoria, Brazil on a discount. With this opportunity, his first trip to Brazil allowed him to visit a 500,000-square-foot granite facility where he was able to purchase brand new products, exclusively for his customers in Oklahoma.

“Being able to travel here gives us a personal touch where we can hand select each slab of granite; we are more in touch with our designers and have access to selections we have never had before,” explained Rivers. “There are new colors, never before released, and it allows us to give customers better selections with better prices.”

Rivers’ Edge Countertops is the only business in Oklahoma that currently provides this first choice grade exotic granite. It is available now for purchase, with over 1,000 slabs to choose from and more to arrive over the next few months. Rivers anticipates returning to Brazil with some of his staff members before the year’s end.

Along with having these readily available forms of granite, Rivers’ shop also has new equipment that does not exist anywhere else in Oklahoma; a Titan CNC Router, which cuts and polishes all of the edges of granite, a Fusion Sawjet, which automatically cuts all of the granite, and a 2,500 gallon water recycling system. The last piece of modern equipment recently installed is a Pathfinder Slabsmith, which allows Rivers and his team to photograph the granite and give customers a preview of what their granite will look like in their home, before slabs are actually cut. This allows customers to get a preview of their idea, before paying for the final product.
