Palo Alto, California (PRWEB) August 28, 2014 -- To keep up with its rapid growth to 600 districts across 22 states and five state-level contracts, educator professional growth platform BloomBoard has added three new members to its senior leadership team.
David Brubacher, Stephen Anderson, and Kelly Montes de Oca have joined BloomBoard as chief product officer, chief experience officer and head of research and development, and chief implementation officer, respectively.
“We are extremely excited to welcome David, Stephen, and Kelly to the team,” said Jason Lange, CEO and co-founder of BloomBoard. “We’re confident that the experience and knowledge they bring to the table will be invaluable in continuing our growth and upholding our mission of empowering educators.”
Brubacher most recently worked as head of relationships products for mobile and desktop at LinkedIn with prior product management leadership positions at Amazon and PayPal. Previously, he participated in the teacher preparation program at Yale University, was a teacher for two years, and co-founded an innovative secondary school in Colorado. As chief product officer, Brubacher will take over ownership and leadership of the BloomBoard product suite and oversee the next stage of BloomBoard’s growth, development, and innovation.
“What drew me to BloomBoard was this incredibly smart and passionate group of people looking to make a significant positive impact in education,” said Brubacher. “I am honored to join and have the privilege of leading the product teams to realize our vision. I look forward to the possibilities that the future holds.”
Anderson was an independent consultant and authored the book “Seductive Interaction Design.” He’s also a world-renowned keynote speaker on product design and utilizing psychology to create meaningful user experiences. He’s designed web applications for businesses such as Nokia, Frito-Lay, Sabre Travel Network, and Chesapeake Energy, as well as numerous technology startups. As chief experience officer, Anderson will head all aspects of design and experience for BloomBoard.
“It’s one thing to make good software,” said Anderson. “It’s another thing entirely to design the tool or system that empowers people to do, surprise, and delight us in amazing ways. We’ve got some pretty exciting projects in the works we believe will do just that.”
Montes De Oca was the chief academic officer for PUC Schools in Los Angeles. She was also an independent consultant with the Center for Educational Leadership, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and several other districts and organizations and has worked across the nation in teacher effectiveness and other education reform-related initiatives. As chief implementation officer, Montes De Oca will lead all of BloomBoard’s implementation efforts at the state and district levels and oversee the support and training of BloomBoard’s educators.
“I look forward to working with BloomBoard partners across the nation to make good on the promise of accelerating teacher practice through supportive personalized resources,” said Montes de Oca.
