Recap: Time To Play Golf Inaugural Golf Outing
Washington Crossing, PA (PRWEB) August 27, 2014 -- Time to Play Golf, a fast-growing golf social network, successfully launched its first-ever golf event!
With 80-degree temperatures and only partially clouded skies, the day proved perfect for the Time To Play Golf (TTPGolf) Inaugural Outing. Around 50 golfers showed up to duel it out at the August 4th event, staged at the beautiful Heron Glen Golf Course in Ringoes, New Jersey.
The outing went off with a bang and everyone seemed to be having a great time. Birdies were dropping and those birdies started turning into eagles. One newcomer to the sport even canned a 75ft eagle putt off the fringe on a par 5!
The winning team – Luke Zabel, Stephen Sellouris, Richard Stewart, and Kevin Kelly – finished with a 57 (15 under par). There were three teams tied at the end of the competition and TTPGolf founder, Doug Hilgenberg, made the three teams pick their best two and duel it out with a 2 man chip and putt scramble with the hole being the existing putting competition.
“The outing was a blast. Everyone had a smile on their face,” says Hilgenberg. “That is what this game is ultimately about: having fun and enjoying the company of others.”
All in all, TTPGolf’s debut golf event proved a great success. All proceeds of the outing will be in support of sending the TTPGolf team to the 2015 PGA Merchandise Show in Florida to influence other golfers to join this growing online community and to take this golf network to the next level - the national level.
