NAPSRx and its CNPR Certification Wins the 2014 Kennedy Educational Award to Support Pharmaceutical Sales Vocational Education and Industry Training Requirements
Washington, DC (PRWEB) August 28, 2014 -- The NAPSRx announced today that it has received a small grant and awarded the 2014 Kennedy Educational Award in Washington, D.C. to support the future establishment and implementation of advanced Pharmaceutical Sales Vocational Educational and Online Training. The NAPSRx’s CNPR Certification and other advanced pharmaceutical sales training will provide technical assistance, training and resources to all of its online students, members and also through over 300 higher education university as well as college institutions on issues related to new medicines in development, drug efficacy, pharmacodynamics, PHRMA regulations, drug sampling guidelines, intrinsic activity, generic drugs, package insert information, drug patenting, E-prescribing, clinical trials and much more.
"Students need up-to-day, relative and comprehensive vocational education if they want to succeed in a pharmaceutical sales career and need to be able to focus on e-learning and improve upon career advancement opportunities," said Education Director of the NAPSRX, Brad Sullivan. "This grant will allow the NAPSRx and its CNPR Certification and other advanced pharmaceutical sales training programs to establish an online vertical to help build, improve and maintain vocational pharmaceutical sales training in schools and close the achievement gap."
The Kennedy grant will for the first year of a three-year project be able to provide the NAPSRx with a reliable resource for information that can be used to plan new and improved online educational programs for all levels and therapeutic areas of pharmaceutical sales. The Kennedy Award will also develop resources and assemble best practices on issues related to the Hatch-Waxman Act, regulatory compliance in drug labeling and promotion, Medicare/Medicaid issues, Research and Development of new drugs, clinical trials, drug discovery, vaccines, gene therapy, stem cells, pharmaceutical selling and Ethical Regulatory Guidelines and drug patents.
