The San Francisco SPCA Teams Up with Bows ‘N Ties to Help Homeless Animals
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) August 26, 2014 -- The San Francisco SPCA is embarking on a joint venture with Bows ‘N Ties, a San Francisco-based design house specializing in men's accessories. Their upcoming campaign, aptly named Dogs ‘N Ties, marries fashion and philanthropy to raise funds for homeless animals.
Hendrik Pohl, owner of Bows ‘N Ties and lover of dogs, designed the campaign to both raise funds for animals in need and also raise awareness with his eye catching, conversation-starting pieces. Show your support for the cause by purchasing one of the scarves or ties, available in six exclusive dog breed patterns: poodle, Chihuahua, French Bulldog, dachshund, Bulldog and Beagle.
Much like the designer himself, these accessories are not shy. Screen-printed on the finest silk twill, the garments showcase one of six beloved dog breeds in a rainbow of fun colors. “We are looking to start a conversation,” says Pohl, “it may start with a well made tie, but hopefully, it moves to a shared love of animals. Over and over again, it ends with a life being saved.”
The SF SPCA’s very own adoptables will be featured in the advertisements and Tuna, the famous internet dog, will join the campaign by being the “face” of the brand. The goal is to have Tuna, a rescue dog himself, provide yet another opportunity to start the conversation about rescues and animal homelessness.
Each tie and scarf is a limited edition piece. With only one hundred made of each style, the accessories will be sold exclusively online or at the SF SPCA.
All profits will be donated to the SF SPCA. Through this partnership, SF SPCA and Pohl hope to raise $30,000.

About the San Francisco SPCA
The San Francisco SPCA is an independent, community-supported, non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to saving, protecting and providing immediate care for cats and dogs who are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate. The SF SPCA also works long-term to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying and neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their human companions. The organization does not receive government funding and is not affiliated with any national organization.
Support the SF SPCA by adopting, donating, volunteering and becoming a client of our state-of-the-art veterinary hospitals. In addition to our campus in the Mission neighborhood, as a result of our recent merger with Pets Unlimited we now have a second campus in Pacific Heights.
