ClaraStream announced today the release of Version 2.0 of its cloud-based product information management software application. With the release, Version 2.0 offers retailers a suite of features designed to offer greater control over how product information is managed across multiple locations as well as the ability to grow faster by easily distributing those products to more sales channels online.

“The flexibility and scalability of Version 2.0 really offers retailers a true omni-channel commerce platform,” said ClaraStream CEO Matt Tortora. “By building a solution that improves the retailer’s ability to bring products to market faster and easily establish new sales channels we are providing a platform for long-term growth.”

Version 2.0 allows users to easily establish a central database for managing their product information and digital assets across multiple locations as well as automate common tasks associated with managing and distributing that information. New features include:

  • Flexibility distributing product information: A new open REST API gives retailers the ability to easily establish integrations to e-commerce platforms, third-party marketplaces like eBay and Amazon, back-office systems, and even create custom product feeds.
  • Dynamic central database: As part of a redesigned master database users can run and save advanced queries and filters of products allowing for greater efficiency accessing, managing, and publishing product information.
  • Ability to automate management of product information: A fully customizable rules engine that allows retailers to create sets of rules for automating common manual product management processes such as product categorization, and price changes.
  • Improved User Interface: An improved user interface with drag and drop capability, bulk-editing views, and an enhanced product image editor.
