Evergreen, Colorado (PRWEB) August 29, 2014 -- Brook Forest Voices (BFV) audiobook producer and publishers received two Bronze awards and a Merit award at the 2014 Annual Colorado Independent Publishers Association (CIPA) EVVY Awards. This marked the 20th anniversary for CIPA and the EVVY awards. It was also was the third consecutive year BFV has received recognition from CIPA at the EVVY Awards Banquet.
BFV submitted “The Secret of the Plumed Saint” by New Mexico author Elizabeth Galligan in two categories: Fiction-Mystery/Detective and Audiobook. BFV placed 3rd for the Bronze Award in both categories for this gentle crime novel, about the theft of the revered statue of the Santo Nino de Atocha and its community where the Plumed Saint resides. Brian Amador masterfully narrates the audiobook by incorporating the accent unique to the inhabitants of the tiny New Mexican village of Villa Vieja.
BFV also received a Merit Award for the eBook edition of “The Land: Our Gift and Wild Hope,” by Colorado native Rae Marie Taylor. In “The Land,” (which is an enhanced eBook with narration, text and illustrations), Rae serves as narrator telling her story from childhood as she cultivated an appreciation for the beauty and cultural diversity of the American Southwest; as well as, a sense of shared habitat and kinship with its vegetation and wildlife.
