The NA Office of Duesseldorf Tourism and Duesseldorf Airport Announce: New Art Exhibit “Inside the Speaker” – Works by Katharina Grosse at Museum Kunstpalast Duesseldorf
Düsseldorf, Germany (PRWEB) August 28, 2014 -- Professor at Düsseldorf’s world-renowned Art Academy (Kunstakademie) and Berlin-based artist, Katharina Grosse has been creating art that explodes in color and size since the mid 1990s. Grosse is known for over-sized paintings and huge art installations. This new exhibit “Inside the Speaker,” from September 30, 2014 – February 1, 2015, features many of her works and is as much an invitation to explore Grosse’s fantastic colorful installations as it is a redefinition of the relationship between color and painting surface.
One entire hall in the exhibit will feature a landscape of about 8,000 square feet for visitors to walk on, created from massive amounts of earth, paint, and textile. Another exhibit hall will feature a selection of oversized paintings, up to 380 square feet, in which Grosse explores new expressions in painting.
Düsseldorf’s tourism office is offering hotel and city specials for many of the city’s art events throughout 2014, including “Inside the Speaker.” The package, called “Düsseldorf à la Card,” can be booked right from the tourism office’s website at https://www.duesseldorf-tourismus.de/en/accommodation/hotel-packages/duesseldorf-a-la-card/.
