Hope For The Warriors Announces Second Annual NJ Run

National Nonprofit invites all to walk/run in honor of military.

Registration is now open for the second annual New Jersey Run For The Warriors® in Holmdel, New Jersey on Sunday, October 19, 2014. This unique road race will take place at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial adjacent to the Vietnam Era Museum & Educational Center at the PNC Bank Arts Center. All proceeds of the event will benefit Hope For The Warriors®, a national nonprofit dedicated to restoring a sense of self, restoring the family unit, and restoring hope to service members and military families.

General registration for the 5K or 1-mile walk/run race is $30, $15 for veterans and active duty service members, and free to Gold Star families and wounded service members. Registration is available by visiting the race website at http://www.hopeforthewarriors.org/2014NJ.

Hope For The Warriors® and the community will honor wounded service members during the opening ceremony. The race will close with the awards ceremony. Awards will be presented to the top three male and female overall finishers and top three males and females in each age category.

This event began with the help of Civic Duty Partners and the New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers in 2013 and continues to be supported by these organizations.

Run For The Warriors® unites military and civilian community members, connecting and educating each on the importance of embracing their neighbors. The goal of each event is to establish a long term understanding and respect for the needs of local military families.
