Greenberg Traurig Business Immigration Attorneys Serve as Editors for ABA What Every Lawyer Needs to Know About Immigration Law
New York, NY (PRWEB) August 28, 2014 -- Greenberg Traurig EB-5 attorneys Kate Kalmykov and Jennifer Hermansky served as editors for the American Bar Association’s What Every Lawyer Needs to Know About Immigration Law reference book.
The recently published book highlights the primary areas of immigration law encountered by attorneys of varying disciplines and the impact immigration law has on each, including a complex mix of statutes, regulations, and federal and administrative courts and agencies. The book further explores the principles in varying areas of the law, including family immigration, employment-based immigration, naturalization and removal defense, and serves as a reference for attorneys who may encounter non-citizen clients in their practice of law.
“The landscape of business immigration law is ever-changing in a fast-paced market,” said Business Immigration & Compliance Practice Co-Chair Martha Schoonover. “We are committed to staying ahead of the curve on key issues impacting our clients and having a voice within the business immigration community. The firm’s contribution to this publication achieves both goals.”
Kalmykov focuses her practice on business immigration and compliance. She represents clients in a wide-range of employment based immigrant and non-immigrant visa matters including students, trainees, professionals, managers and executives, artists and entertainers, treaty investors and traders, persons of extraordinary ability and immigrant investors. She has written for and been quoted in numerous publications on immigration matters and is the editor of the firm’s EB-5 Insights blog (http://www.eb5insights.com), which addresses the broad range of challenges and opportunities presented by the EB-5 Program, including the immigration, tax and securities compliance issues integral to creating and maintaining successful Regional Centers and projects.
Hermansky focuses her practice on both employment-based and family-based immigration. Her experience includes serving clients in health care, pharmaceutical and real estate industries, as well as entrepreneurs, scientists and researchers in scientific communities. She represents clients in a wide range of employment-based immigrant and non-immigrant visa matters including students, professionals, managers and executives, artists and entertainers, treaty investors, individuals of extraordinary ability, and immigrant investors.
