Sonneborn Presents “Analyzing Natural Emollients for Sensory Characteristics” September 25 in Kiawah Island
Parsippany, NJ (PRWEB) August 29, 2014 -- Tyler McIntyre, R&D Chemist at Sonneborn, LLC will present research findings on the quantification of sensory attributes of vegetable based emollients versus petrolatum at the annual Carolinas Chapter of Cosmetic Chemistry event dedicated to the science of natural ingredients for personal care products. The event will take place Thursday, September 25, 2014 in Kiawah Island, South Carolina.
The presentation will focus on use of a texture analyzer and rheometer to establish key sensory elements. The texture and spread-ability of each component was quantified by force versus time via material displacement, while rheological data was gathered to predict drag and skin feel, critical discernments of finished product preference.
